NFL Week 15 Cheers and Jeers

There were plenty of things to cheer about and a few things to jeer during yet another exciting NFL week.  In many ways, there were early Christmas gifts for a lot of Fantasy Players and a few lumps of coal to go around as well!

Cheers:  To the Electricians who work for Pacific Gas & Electric who kept the lights on- for most of the game on Monday Night during the surprise power outages.

Cheers:  To the San Francisco 49ers fans in Candlestick Park who kept their cool during the two power outages on Monday Night Football.
Cheers: To Kyle Orton who threw for 299 yards and interim Head Coach Romeo Crennel leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a Victory over the previously undefeated Green Bay Packers.

Cheers: To Calvin (MEGATRON)Johnson who on the final driver of the Detroit v Oakland game caught 3 passes for 75 yards and scored a game tying TD. Calvin Johnson finished the game with 214 receiving yards and 2 TDs.

Jeers: To Eli Manning who threw for only 257 yards with 3 INTs and 0 TDs.

Cheers:  To Drew Brees  who went 32 of 40 for 412 yards and 5 TDs with 0 INTS

Cheers: To Lance Moore who was targeted by Brees 6 times and had 5 receptions for 91 yards and 2 TDs.

Jeers: To the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their hapless display of offense against Dallas. LaGarrett Blount posting only 21 rushing yards.

Jeers: To Marion Barber who only had 11 carries for 33 yards and 0 TDS.

Jeers: To the Denver Broncos halftime entertainment committee who featured monkeys riding on dogs during the halftime show of week 15. Really?… Monkeys on dogs!?! You got to see the You Tube Clip…

Cheers: To the Houston Texans Football Organization and Operation Finally Home who presented to  Sara Wood, the Widow of fallen Marine Scott Wood and their  5 year old son  (much to their surprise) a new house.  Scott Wood – a longtime Texans fan who was a big fan of Andre Johnson- died nearly four weeks ago from injuries suffered during combat in Iraq.
