Is Bill Belichick still Bill Belichick? What I'm trying to say is that I think Belicheat...oh my bad...Belichick may have lost his "touch". What happened to the mad scientist being able to turn reclamation projects into acts of pure genius? Ala Corey Dillon and Randy Moss. When Bill Belichick brought in Ochocinco and Albert Hanynesworth, many thought they were the favorites to win the AFC. Haynesworth has been waived and Ochocinco cant even get on the field. Now it might be to early to judge Ochocinco but the consensus seems to be that he just can't grasp the offense and will eventually be cut by the team. I kind of feel bad for him. He wanted so badly to be a Patriot and now that he is finally on the team, he is known as a non-factor and bust. Oh well...
This picture might be a bit much, but the Patriots haven't won a Superbowl in 8 years and yet they are still portrayed as the "mighty" New England Patriots. The Celtics, Red Sox, and Bruins have all won titles since 2004 so the Patriots actually have the longest championship drought for a pro sports team in Boston. Kind of funny how the Patriots haven't won a Super Bowl since the team got caught for the whole "spy-gate" situation. As time goes on without the Patriots winning a Superbowl, I'm beginning to think more and more that the Patriots should forfeit their Super Bowl wins. Absurd of me to say that? THEY CHEATED!!! How can you not have an advantage knowing what kind of plays your opponent is going to run???!!!! I use to think that the Patriots would still have won their Super Bowl titles even without the advantage they had, but no titles since 2004 is astonishing for the "mighty" New England Patriots.
I know that the Pats went 16-0 after spy-gate and were one David Tyree drop from winning the Super Bowl, but as they say, close but no cigar. Randy Moss juicing out his talent that year was the only reason that team went 16-0. PERIOD.
If Belichick can win a Super Bowl for his team this year then egg on my face, but they should still forfeit their previous three Super Bowl championships. I love how Roger Goodell decided to "destroy" the evidence. Why would he feel the need to do that? I mean destroy the evidence was the proper thing to do? He might have been better off just admitting the Pats cheated. Goodell made himself look foolish and basically just proved to everyone that something was going on. I don't know if he was afraid that the Patriots franchise was going to be ruined or what but it's just obvious something BAD was going on. Now that I think about it, I wonder if Belichick ever had that "touch" to begin with...
