Fantasy RB Sleepers Taiwan Jones

Fantasy football talk is in full swing and I'm going to be bringing some sleepers into the spotlight over the next few months. Today, we are going to look at a running back that could move into a heavy RB2 role on his team, and possibly become the starting running back of a team that likes rushing the ball.

Taiwan Jones - RB (Oakland Raiders)

I love DMC(Darren McFadden) and I'm sure we all did last year...well, unless you played against the SOB touting him as a RB2, and after that week in fantasy football, he was now his team's RB1. However, Mr. DMC remains a problematic player...not off the field, but for injuries and it has some fantasy football owner's in full-fret-mode for this coming NFL season.

Enter Taiwan Jones, who will battle with Mike Goodson for time played, and if the injury bug flips Darren McFadden, he could be the Oakland Raiders' #1 option. Jones also has the upside of being a better option in Oakland's new style of offense, making fantasy football owners' heads take a turn.

While Jones is only 6-foot, 195 pounds, he still has skills that can remind one of Chris Johnson or even earlier, Eddie George (just without the hands). However, that is an upside in Oakland's offense. By picking up Jones, you are making an investment...he won't be an RB2 or an RB1 in weeks 1 - 6 of the fantasy season, but if DMC sees injured status, he could midway through.
For draft position, he is a late-round pick in deep leagues. If you see DMC have problems, and Oakland need to incorporate another RB in that role, Jones will see more time and he will become a big waiver wire pickup in all leagues. And if you take DMC, I wouldn't hesitate in handcuffing Jones...just a heads up!
