Straight Retirement Homie

Randy Moss was the coolest NFL player ever. Period. I'm not the only one who thinks that. If you are pathetic enough like myself to google the most played teams for madden on xbox live or ps3, statistics will show it was whatever team Randy Moss was on. Thats right. For example in 2010, the most played team went from the Pats to the Vikings to the Titans. Saying something eh? I didnt post a write up on his retirement in august because honestly there was so much smoke about him coming back during the season. Safe to say he is done for sure. But then again you never really know in the nfl. Deion Sanders came back to play for the Ravens after he was retired for a couple years so its possible i guess...

The king of cool will go down in history as the second greatest reciever of all time and rightfuly so. Jerry Rice is of course numero uno BUT dont kid yourself, Randy Moss was the most "talented" and physically gifted reciever to ever play the game. Rice however used the talent he had to earn him the right to be called the best ever. Randy Moss obviously took plays off and became lazy when his team started to lose but i dont think he really had THAT much more to offer. Experts say he would have destroyed Rice's records. I dont know about that but I wouldnt be surprised if he did. I think he basically lost all his speed at the end of last year. Another knock on Moss is that he doesnt have a superbowl ring. The thing is though Moss cant be held accountable for that because winning the superbowl takes a full team not just 1 wide reciever. Besides Moss scored the should have been-go ahead touchdown in superbowl 42...stupid David Tyree...

What made Moss different than other wide outs like Ochocinco and Owens? Well first of all he was just way more talented and second of all he wasnt fake. Ocho tried SO HARD to be cool and have everyone notice him. So naturally in return Ocho made himself look like a clown to most people. Same thing with Owens. They were doing corny stuff like River Dances and eagle flaps that it just made me sick. You know what moss did? Nothing. Moss didnt try to be cool he just was! He just did his split the defense gesture which was the coolest thing ever. Actually scratch that. He shot the moon to the cheese heads down in Wisconsin but AT THE TIME i thought it was the coolest thing ever. And afterwards in the parking lot reporters asked him that oh so favorite question that led to "straight cash homie".  Of course after that, the departure of #84 to Oakland ripped the hearts out of every purple fan in Minnesota.  After spending 2 dismal seasons in Oakland, the freak finally found a place where he could play at a high caliber. He landed in Boston and fell right into Bill Belichick and Tom Terrifics loving arms. He then ERUPTED and the freak transformed into the SUPER FREAK. 23 Touchdowns 15,000 yards and being the leading scoring on the 16-0 Patriots jn 2007 cemented himself intot he hall of fame. Randy Moss achieved the ultimate of what wide reciever could acheive in 2007. He was the pinnace of perfection as a wide out that year. Ya know how on madden they never give out 100 ratings? Moss got a 100 rating that year. That was corny of me to say i know but oh well.

We all know the rest of the story after 07 but the question I would like to ask you is how will you remember Randy Moss? Which team should he be enshirned in the hall of fame with? It will prob be the Vikings because the committe places inductees into the club they spent the most seasons with but in some cases they place an inductee into 2 clubs like they did with Deion Sanders (Falcons & Cowboys). So i think he should be remember as BOTH a Viking and Patriot. Minnesota is where it all started but Moss set records no man could in New England. Plus did #84 look good rocking that #81 in New England or what? #nohomo . I am going to buy a Randy Moss jersey for every team that he played for. Even though his tenures in Oakland and Tennesse were forgettable, they were still home to the freak at one point in time and the fans in Minny, Oakland, Foxboro, and the Music city should be grateful to have claimed home to Randy and we should all tip our caps to him, thank him, and wish him luck as we wait to see him enter the hall of fame and show up for his hall of fame speech. Boy that will be fun to hear what he has to say when he shows up for his enshirnment speech!....if he shows up....actually im calling it right now, Randy Moss is going to be the first athlete to ditch his hall of fame appearance.....You can put it on your ink...

At this point would you really be surprised if this ends up being Moss' bust in Canton?
