NFL Week 4 Re-Cap

Week 4, much like the entire season so far was very entertaining, and very very twisted. What was down is actually up and the 4-0 Lions are living proof of this.

Detroit (34) v Dallas (30)

This was the game where Dallas fans are calling for Tony Romo's head and Detroit fan's are hailing Stafford as their great savior! The biggest fantasy stars of this game were Stafford & Calvin Johnson who connected for two TDs. Dez Bryant grabbed two of the three TD passes from Romo.

Indianapolis (17) v. Tampa Bay (24)

This game was a slugfest between two organizations going in two different directions. The Bucs were led by Josh Freeman who threw for 287 yards and had one TD. LeGarrette Blount wore the Colts down with 127 power rushing yards and a score.The Colt's were led by Curtis Painter who played better than anyone expected posting two TD's to Pierre Garcon.

Carolina (29) v. Chicago (34)

Don't kick to Hester is the moral of this game- if you are a Carolina Coach. Devin Hester set an NFL record with his 11th punt return for a TD. Hester also set up a Forte TD with a 73yard kickoff return. Matt Forte had a career high of 205 yards rushing. Cam Newton posted another strong performance with 374 yards passing and a TD with two rushing TDs.


Buffalo (20) v. Cincinnati (23)


Andy Dalton shook off a tough first half perfomance to lead the Bengals in a comeback victory against Buffalo. Dalton was 18 of 36 for 298 yard and a TD. Cedric Benson ran 19 times for 104 yards. Mike Nugent's 43yd field goal with four seconds left in the game sealed the deal for the Bengals. Fitzpatrick finished the day for Buffalo at 20 of 34 for 199 yards.


Tennesee (31) v. Cleveland (13)


This game has propelled Matt Hasselbeck to new Fantasy Football heights as the 13yr veteran QB threw 3 TD passes. Hasselbeck was 10 of 20 for 220 yards. Chris Johnson emerged rushing 23 times for 101 yards. Colt McCoy was 40 of 61 for 350yds and 1TD for Cleveland.


Pittsburgh (10) v. Houston (17)

Arian Foster rushed for 155yards and a TD in a heated battle against the Steelers. This game was most notable for all the injuries that occurred on both sides of the ball. Andre Johnson left in the second quarter of the game with a right hamstring injury. Most recent reports showing him coming back in three weeks. Ben Tate left the game with a groin injury. The Steelers lost running back Rashard Mendenhall (hamstring), linebacker James Harrison (eye) and defensive end Aaron Smith (foot) as well as Ben Roethlisberger with a sprained foot.


New Orleans (23) v. Jacksonville (10)

This game was the Drew Brees and Darren Sproles show as Brees threw for 351yds and a TD while Sproles added 188 all purpose yards. Jimmy Graham caught 10 passes for 132 yards and a score. Blaine Gabbert was 16 of 42 for 196 yards with a TD and INT. Maurice Jones-Drew finished the day with 11 carries for 84 yards.


Denver (23) v. Green Bay (49)

Green Bay remains as one of two unbeaten teams as Aaron Rodgers threw for a career high of 408 yards with four TD passes and two rushing TDs. Erik Decker caught a pair of TD passes from Kyle Orton. Orton threw for 273 yards with three TDs and two INTs.


Minnesota (17) v. Kansas City (22)

The KC Chiefs have finally won a game. Matt Cassel hit Dwayne Bowe for a 52yard fourth quarter TD pass. This combined with a hot leg by Ryan Succop 5/5 on field goals sealed the deal for the Chiefs. McNabb finished 18 of 30 for 302 yards, two TDs and an INT. Adrian Peterson ran 23 times for 80 yards.


San Francisco (24) v. Philadelphia (23)

The San Francisco 49ers bested the Eagles on the legs of Frank Gore as he capped the second half comeback of the 49ers.Gore finished the game with 127 yards rushing. Alex Smith had two TD passes to Joshua Morgan and Vernon Davis. Michael Vick threw for a career high of 416yards and rushed for 75yards. LeSean McCoy only had 18 yards on nine carries.


Washington (17) v. St. Louis (10)

Ryan Torain ran for 135 yards which included a 20 yard run for a score in Washington's victory over the Rams. Steven Jackson scored on a 15yard reception for St. Louis.


New York Giants (31) v. Arizona (27)

Eli Manning threw for two TDs within a 58 second time span to stun the Arizona Cardinals and lift the Giants to victory. Jake Ballard and Hakeem Nicks both scored during this 58 second ariel attack. Manning finished the day at 27 of 40 for 371 yards. Hakeem Nicks caught 10 passes for 162 yards. Beanie Wells rushed a career best of 138 yards agains the Giants despite missing the previous game with a hamstring injury. Fitzgerald caught 8 passes for 102 yards. Kevin Kolb was 20 for 34 for 237 yards with one INT and one lost fumble.


Atlanta (30) v. Seattle (28)

Matt Ryan threw for 291 yards and Rookie Julio Jones had 127 yards on 11 passes as Atlanta outlasted the Seahawks. Michael Turner ran for two TDs and Tony Gonzalez had a TD grab. Tavaris Jackson threw for 3 TDS in the losing effort for Seattle finishing with a career high of 319 yards.


New England (31) v. Oakland (19)

Tom Brady threw for 226 yards and two TDs in the victory over the Raiders. Wes Welker caught 9 passes for 158yards. Benjarvus Green-Ellis and Stevan Ridley added rushing TDs. Jason Campbell threw two interceptions and finished 25 for 39 for 344 yards. Darren McFadden had 75 yards on 14 carries. Denarius Moore had a TD reception with 28 seconds left to play.


Miami (16) v. San Diego (26)

Phillip Rivers threw for 307 yards and a TD. Vincent Jackson was the recipient of the TD pass from Rivers had 3 catches for 108 yards. Mike Tolbert scored a rushing TD to vault the Chargers over the winless Dolphins. Absent from the game for San Diego was Antonio Gates who is still bothered by the injury to his right foot from last season. Chad Henne left the game for Miami with a shoulder injury. Reggie Bush ran 13 times for 50 yards and caught passes for 15 yards.


New York Jets (17) v. Baltimore (34)


The Raven's Defense scored three touchdowns all off turnovers by Jets QB Mark Sanchez.Flacco was 10 for 31 for 163 yards and a fumble and an INT. Sanchez was 11 for 35 for 119 yards with four fumbles.
